Becky Akers died on Monday, April 18, 2022. She was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer three months ago.
Becky loved liberty and freedom and hated the state.
I corresponded with her periodically since 2012. Sometimes I’d find articles and forward the link to her. She would excerpt something from the article and add scathing commentary. And then there were times I’d write something and send it off to her in an email and she’d post it on LewRockwell.com.
I once sent her a recipe for a mostly vegetable soup. She said that she was tracking with me until it came to adding sausage balls to the soup. She said that she was pretty much a vegetarian. I suggested that she not add the sausage balls. She never told me if she tried the soup.
I stopped corresponding with Becky in September of 2021. I mentioned that my mother was terribly sick with covid and asked her to pray. She refused to believe it was covid and called it the flu. I thought that was just nuts to insist calling something the flu when it is commonly called covid. Now I wish I’d continued my correspondence.
The good news is that Becky Akers was a strong Christian. She is now with Christ and awaiting the resurrection.
