Fed Planning to Raise Interest Rates November 2nd

According to Nick Timiraos of the Wall Street Journal, the Fed will raise interest rates at its November 2nd meeting.

Federal Reserve officials are barreling toward another interest-rate rise of 0.75 percentage point at their meeting Nov. 1-2 and are likely to debate then whether and how to signal plans to approve a smaller increase in December.

Timiraos is thought to be the unofficial channel for the official leak fo the Fed when it needs to get information out to the public.

The smaller increase in interest rates in December will likely be 50 basis points.
