Yesterday I stopped at a gas station. While there, I picked up a couple of food items. Both were priced at $1.79.
However, one item scanned at $2.09 and the other scanned at $2.29.
Inflation is so hot right now, small businesses are not even bothering to change the price tags.
Grocery stores likely can’t get away with this . . . for the time being. However, in time, inflation will get so hot, stores won’t bother with price tags any longer. The scanned price will be the price.
