In his drive to commit the United States to World War III, Senator Lindsey Graham only remembers what is convenient and forgets the rest of the story.
In a tweet today, Graham said that Russia recognized Ukraine’s territorial sovereignty in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons.
Graham conveniently forgets that former Secretary of State James Baker promised Gorbachev that NATO would not expand one inch to the East in 1991.
U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s famous “not one inch eastward” assurance about NATO expansion in his meeting with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990, was part of a cascade of assurances about Soviet security given by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and on into 1991, according to declassified U.S., Soviet, German, British and French documents posted today by the National Security Archive at George Washington University.

Furthermore, Zelensky was threatening to develop nuclear weapons prior to Russia’s 2022 invasion. A nuclear armed Ukraine is considered an existential threat to Russia and Russia has insisted that Ukraine must agree to give up all nuclear weapons ambitions for there to be a peace agreement.
Not only does Lindsey Graham forget the past, but for him, everything is Hitler and World War II. Here Graham is resurrecting the ghost of the second world war and implying that Putin is the second coming of Hitler.
Graham is clearly deranged and is seeking a direct military confrontation with Russia. Graham is a dangerous nut job who needs to be removed from office by the voters of South Carolina.
