The FBI invaded Mar-a-Lago while former President Trump was out of Florida.
According to the New York Times, the raid concerns documents that Trump brought with him when he left the presidency.
Trump’s safe was cracked open but it was empty.
According to Attorney Robert Barnes, the raid appears to be a Deep State move instead of a political move by the Democrats. The documents likely contain information that is deeply embarrassing to the Deep State and cannot risk Trump having access to them.
Regardless, the raid makes the Deep State look like a banana republic. And there will be blowback. The raid will awaken voters, fence sitters, and the like to come out and vote in the midterms this November. The raid was a serious miscalculation by the Deep State.
The House was already set to go Republican. Until now, the Republican control of the Senate looked possible but not locked in. The raid on Mar-a-Lago considerably increases the chances of the Senate going to the Republicans.
As for Trump, he could not have gotten better publicity. A lot of Trump supporters were leaning towards Governor DeSantis of Florida. But many former Trump supporters are rushing back to support him and are calling on Trump to announce his 2024 candidacy.
