Alexander Mercouris related an interesting bit of information yesterday about how anti-Putin sentiments are shifting within Russia.
His wife is part of a Humanities exchange program with Russian humanities academics.
Russian Humanities academics are very anti-Putin. They echo all of the progressive BS that is common in the west and are motivated in part by their desire for academic appointments in the west.
Interestingly, Mercouris said that anti-Putin sentiment has shifted dramatically over the last several weeks. Russian academics are horrified to find out how much the west hates Russia. In other words, Russian academics realized they are assisting in their own suicide and are now backtracking.
It seems the cultural rot has not progressed nearly as far in Russian academic circles as it has in the west.
